Fort Myers

Installation Tropical Lodge 56

While in Florida I attended the Installation of the 08 officers at Tropical Lodge 56 in Fort Myers. It was a bit different then how we do it in Ontario. Except for the opening and closing of the lodge, the ceremony was open to the public, so that wives and family could attend.

They put on quite a spread for dinner afterwards. It was a good night...

Dayton

Just got back from a Christmas trip to Florida. Stopped in Dayton Ohio and took a few pics of this impressive structure on the way back. I'd like to get a tour of this place someday.

City hall Toronto

Heres a few familiar sybols found on the front of Toronto's city hall.

Next time you're by there, take a look for them, they're pretty easy to find

St. Catherines Ontario

The family and I took a drive out to St. Catherines Ont. yesterday. While there, I thought I'd check out the site of the temple there. I've been thinking of visiting there this fall. It's a nice old brick place. There's some multiple use, a dental clinic and music academy are on site. Good to see the bills being paid.

Here's some detail of the front of the St.John's Temple. I was lucky, I got to attend one of the last meetings ever to be held in this building. More about that in a bit.

The town of Creemore Ontario

Took a drive up to Creemore with the family, just to get away from the city for the day.

The town is home to Creemore Springs beer. We lucked out and got a tour of the brewery. I was on my way back to the van to drive home, when I looked up and saw a familiar symbol...

Scottish Rite Cathedral Hamilton

Just this last Thursday I visited St. James Lodge, which meets in the Scottish Rite Cathedral in Hamilton, Ontario. I didn't get as much of a tour as I'd have liked, but there's always next time.
